Hi all,
i am 23 yrs old and i had a c/section 3 yrs ago with my daughter it was a emergency ceasar due to high blood pressure and failure to prgress. Like so many women i was really dissapointed with my labour and went through a shocking recovery process. I am now 30 weeks pregnant with #2 and i really really want a VBAC. I have just recently moved to melbourne from sydney and plan to have my baby at the royal womens hospital in carlton.I havent gone for my fist visit yet its in another week. But i would like to know if anyone has had there kids there and what kind of expirence they had.Is the hospital VBAC freindly?Do they have a reasonbly freindly staff?I have heard its a good hospital but would love to hear some personal expirences. Also if you have a boy do they do circumsion? sorry for the long post but i feel a little lost at the moment. One thing i have already decided is that i am going tolabour at home for as long as i can so went i get to the hospital i can be past most of the intervention stages inducing,IV,Drugs.....etc
thanks and lookin forward to ur replies

Hi there,
My name is Sarah and I have a 5 year old boy, born by "emergency" caesarean in 2001, for "failure to progress". In March this year I gave birth to a healthy baby girl here at home with a midwife. I considered this my best chance for a gentle, natural birth and a VBAC, to avoid interventions that can occur at any stage. If this is something that's possible for you, you might consider it. If not, I hope you get the birth you want at the hospy- I'm sure someone out there will be able to advise you on that:)
