The theory goes that male sperm swims faster but dies earler and female sperm swims slower but lasts longer. For a female baby, have sex up to two or three days before ovulation as only female sperm survive this long; for a male baby, have sex on the day of, or just after, ovulation, as the faster male sperm will reach the ovum before the female sperm. May or may not work.

Hi had heard the sperm one Rhona talked about too - its called the Shettles method. There is another "scientist" in the US who actually says the reverse is true. I looked them up on Pubmed as after two sons I wanted a daughter - and the research said that both theories were not proven.

What I did find however is that there is a positive correlation between diet and baby gender. If you have a died high in potassium (bananas etc) and salt you are more likely to conceive a boy - for a girls it is calcium (dairy products) and magnesium.

I tried this and for me it (or blind luck) worked.

While the correlation is positive it is not a guaranteed. There is still a chance of having a boy.

Definitely don't follow the Chinese baby chart - according to that both my sons should be girls and my daughter should be a son.

Good luck what every your try - and having two boys is not really that bad.
