Hi all,
Just hoping that someone will have, or know of, a similar story to mine and be able to pass on any info they have.
I had a very healthy pregnancy. Got to 37 weeks and c-section mentioned because baby was sitting at negative 5 (head totally above pelvis) and obs felt movement downwards should be happening by this stage. Baby and i were healthy and natural birth was our aim - so kept going to each weekly appointment but there was no change - still negative 5. Baby was slightly posterior - changed to slightly anterior by end. Got to 40 wks and obs said - no change - suggested C-section. We asked about induction and obs said there was no point in inducing because there was nothing for my body to work on as baby was not in suitable position - my uterus just risked rupturing. We had Cameron the next day by c-section. He was 8 pound 5, hc 36.5cm, 48cm long. His head was shaped to my pelvis - he had obviously been wedged there. I experienced no part of labour at all. Up until the c-section, I was healthy as was baby and my waters were fine. Hoping for VBAC at some stage in the future.
Thanks for reading and hopefully giving me some help,
Clare
