since my first c-sec, I have totally changed my diet, which now mainly consists of fruit, vegies, nuts, seeds, cold pressed oils, and a lot of herbal teas such as green, burdock, red rasberry, chammomile. I have finally got relief from the problems which gave me pre-eclampsia, which were a lot of fluid retention, headaches, fatigue and eye problems. Can you tell me what else I can do to help acheive my plan of having my next baby as a home VBAC? I also need to find a midwife who will help me do this.

Hello Renae You have certainly worked on your diet! You need to contact the Australian Society of Independent Midwives (ASIM) and they may be able to put you in touch with someone who can help. Women planning VBAC are as likely to birth vaginally as any woman planning a vaginal birth. The reasearch shows this, but the statistics vary widely region to region, and the support from health providers varies widely as well. Also read, talk to women who have had VBACs, and contact VBAC support groups. All the very best for your birth. Midwife Rose
