Does anyone know of an Independent Midwife in Brisbane? I have been having a look and it seems there aren't many in Queensland - is that due to insurance etc?

There are independent midwives in Qld. Why not post a message on the c-aware list, or check out the Australian homebirth association website www.homebirthaustralia.org. or contact maternity coalition in Qld www.maternitycoalition.org.au and follow the prompts to the Qld site.

Birthtalk is a support group in Brisbane and they will know the details of local independent midwives. Contact birthtalk@bigpond.com or Deb (07) 3379 7424.
