I'm so sorry that your doctor is not taking good care of you. Many doctors are scared of breech births nowadays and feel that automatic caesarean is warranted. This is simply not true. The risks of repeat surgery are simply not worth it if there is no medical condition warranting the surgery. Basically the risks of vaginal breech birth compared with repeat surgery are so small that you would have to perform many thousands of operations to save just one baby. The other part is that the risks to the mother are infinitely higher in surgery than breech birth.
There are a number of ways you can shift a baby most of which obstetricians don't seem to know as they go straight for the surgery. http://www.spinningbabies.com is an excellent source for this. Practicing optimal foetal positioning, homeopathy, some gentle manoeuvres, or even hand stands in a swimming pool LOL are all excellent ways to turn a breech bub. So that's the first place to start
In the short term, given that your careprovider has left you in this appalling position, you need lots of support and information. I don't know where you are so I can't offer local resources to you, so please let me know. You have the right to birth in the safest and best way for your baby and you. All strength to you while you work through these issues. I hope you won't be paying any more money to that doctor.

HI Renu,
My little boy was breech at 38 weeks and I managed to turn him using rocking, tilting and massage. I was told by the hospital that at that late stage he would not turn!
I got the positions out of "Active Birth" by Janet Balaskas.
We showed them who was in charge. You can do it!

Hi Renu
My VBAC baby turned breech at 37 weeks. At 38 weeks I had a successful ECV- external cephalic version, where the doctor turned the baby by placing his hands on the head and the bottom of my baby and gently rotating him around. It worked and at 40 weeks exactly I went on to have a VBAC. Give it a go...
All the best Sara

Hi Renu,
Please dont think you cant have a VBAC due to breech position. My father practices chinese medicine (acupuncture) & has successfully turned breech babies around & so has my private midwife through specific exercises.
Good luck, Andrea
