====================
*We invite to you this evening where we will be
discussing pregnancy and birth after a caesar.
There are a wide range of feelings that women and their
partners can have after a caesarean. Many women have had
time to consider their options and are comfortable with the
idea of caesarean. Other couples have had little choice in
the mode of planned delivery, or the labour has been
complicated and an emergency caesar has been required. Often
women can feel a little cheated, upset or confused by such
an experience. At this informal evening we hope to explore
women's and their partner's experience of their birth and
some of you may find comfort in other people's stories.
We will explore the need for local support services.
Babes in arms are very welcome.
If you are at all interested in coming, please ring the
midwifery ward on 56230751 to help give us an idea of
numbers.
Yours sincerely
Sue Crosby (Midwife)
and David Simon (Obstetrician)
